With the new changes to laws, it has become difficult, if not impossible to receive an abortion in many states. We will help you come to CHOICES to receive the highest quality abortion care. We can help you with travel details including airfare and housing, the costs of your trip, and the cost of your abortion.

Our Out-of-Town Program was created with your needs in mind. In most cases, you can get an appointment within 1-3 days. New York State allows abortion up to 24 weeks with NO limitations. NO age restrictions. NO requirements that you notify parents or partners, NO waiting periods.

Our All-Inclusive Abortion Program Includes​:

Transportation to and from NYC to our Leading Abortion Clinic including airfare. If you are worried about how to get to NYC, we work closely with funding organizations that can help cover your travel costs. CHOICES are conveniently located in Queens, New York near JFK Airport, and an easy commute via subway, train, bus, or car from all New York City boroughs.
Overnight housing, if needed, with reduced hotel rates or a safe stay with a volunteer. We can also connect you with Haven Coalition, a volunteer network of caring people who will host your stay at one of their homes and, if needed, can arrange for someone to accompany you to your appointment at CHOICES.

CHOICES is committed to helping ALL women obtain abortions, even those from states with restrictive abortion laws. Our Out-of-Town program is designed to encourage and support women from other states to come to our abortion clinic to carry out their reproductive decisions. We accept Medicaid from New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Delaware, and will help patients arrange affordable transportation and hotel accommodations. We are affiliated with Haven Coalition, a volunteer organization that provides overnight housing for abortion patients who need it and provides an escort for patients to and from abortion.

Choices Women’s Medical Center works closely with the following funding agencies to provide financial assistance for patients seeking abortion services at our facility.

The New York Abortion Access Fund (NYAAF) supports people who are unable to pay fully for an abortion and live in or travel to New York State by providing financial assistance and connections to other resources.

Women’s Reproductive Rights Access Project (WRRAP) is a non-partisan, non-profit organization helping women gain access to safe, legal abortion services and emergency contraceptives. We work with pre-qualified, reputable reproductive health clinics across the U.S. on behalf of disadvantaged women in need.

National Network of Abortion Funds (NNAF) works with members to remove financial and logistical barriers to abortion access by centering people who have abortions and organizing at the intersections of racial, economic, and reproductive justice.

National Abortion Federation (NAF) operates the largest national, toll-free, multi-lingual Hotline for abortion referrals and financial assistance in the U.S. and Canada. NAF provides callers with accurate information, confidential consultation, options counseling, and referrals to providers of quality abortion care. The Hotline is free and offers services to everyone, regardless of your individual situation. As a practical abortion fund, MAC helps people traveling to, from, and within the Midwest (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin) access a safe, legal abortion with support in the following areas: travel coordination and costs, lodging, food, medicine, and emotional support.

The Brigid Alliance is an organization that provides logistical and financial support for travel and housing for patients seeking abortion:

    • Transportation assistance – bus, plane, and train tickets or funds to cover gas, tolls, and parking.
    • Housing assistance – hotel accommodations or referrals to local practical support.
    • Additional expenses – reimbursement for taxis or referrals to local practical support.

For our out-of-town patients, we are also close to Kennedy and Laguardia airports. Our main entrance is just off Jamaica Avenue on 147th Street. Look for our blue awning.
